Announcement
3th Draft Horse Show - 2 and 3 June 2007 - Koksijde
This year the FBBD organises her third Draft Horse Show. After the successful editions in Ghent and Maaseik, it will this time take place in Koksijde (in the province West-Flanders = at the sea!). And this year it will even be more special and unique... a two-day drafthorse event!
Also this year the FBBD wants to show the Drafthorses in all their glory to the visitors, with the emphasis on the present use in the recreation.
At the domains "Witte Burg" (Oostduinkerke/Koksijde), a real drafthorse-camp will be built. On Saturday (2 June) afternoon at 15h30 the Brabants under saddle and driving carriages start for a walk under accompaniment along the rider path by the dunes and at the beach.
On Saturday evening at the camp Witte Burg a barbecue will be ready for everybody who is hungry, so of course also they who came without a horse are welcome!
On Sunday morning the shrimp fishers with their horses will throw out the nets. The other drafthorses are also expected at the beach. To distribute the fresh caught shrimps to all visitors at the beach. Fresher isn't possible! On Sunday afternoon at for 14.00 starts the unique Drafthorse Show on the camp Witte Brug where you will meet the contemporary Belgian Drafthorse.
