•   Drafthorse show Koksijde - June 2 and 3
This year the FBBD organises her third Draft Horse Show. After the successful editions in Ghent and Maaseik, it will this time take place in Koksijde (in the province West-Flanders = at the sea!). And this year it will even be more special and unique... a two-day drafthorse event!
At the domains "Witte Burg" (Oostduinkerke/Koksijde), a real drafthorse-camp will be built. On Saturday (2 June) afternoon at 15h30 the Brabants under saddle and driving carriages start for a walk under accompaniment along the rider path by the dunes and at the beach.

•   Officiel contest Oudenaarde
Every year each province has an officiel contest for colts of 1 year old and mares up to 10 years. At these contests the mares are classified by quality and they get a first or second category (marked with I or II in the results). Mares which receive a first category, can participate at the yearly national contest (the Belgian championship).
Sunday the 17th of September the first contest of this year took place in Oudenaarde.

•   International meeting & 3d Flemish Championship
For the occasion of the third Flemish Championship an international meeting will be organised on Saturday 8th of July. The programme of this meeting will be: the history of the Belgian Draft Horse and an overview of the breeding standards in the represented studbooks by their delegate. We expect this topic to be of interest for all attendees and to open more close collaborations in favour of our horses.
In the second part we'll have a short statement about the use of draft horses in recreation. Several organisations will be present to answer all your questions!
The 9th of July the delegates will be part of the international jury at the 3th Flemish Championship.
