Report Grooming-course & practical exam candidate-jury-members
Baaigem - 1 May 2006
On Monday the 1st of May the jury-training-commission of the FBBD, under the leadership of John Vandewalle, organised for the first time a practical examination for the candidate jury-members. There was also organised a grooming-course by the provincial association of East-Flanders. At noon everybody could anjoy the barbecue!

The grooming-course was a great success. The large interest of youth was very striking and is promising for the future. As well the braiding of the manes and the tail, as the grooming of the legs was taken into consideration.

The previous year the candidate jury members have got the possibility, of gaining experience during several contests. On the 1st of May their acquired knowledge was tested. Of the 43 subscribers, only two stayed absent. The candidates were split up in six groups and got each time eight mares to see. They individually had to inspect and classify them on the base of type, movement and grooming/leg work. On the 20th of May the members of the jury-training-commission bend themself at the results, whereupon the candidates will be informed personally and possibly get some observations communicated. The candidates who succeed for this practical test, can continue their practical training.
Also the barbecue knew a large success, 94 presents enjoyed the meal!
